The Relation Between Breast Care And The Incidence Of Breast Milk Dams (Engorgement) In Postpartum Mothers

Breastfeeding is a natural event that occurs after childbirth for woman which beneficial both mother and baby. problems can occur during the puerperium or lactation are breast engorgement also called milk dams. Breast dams due to superior lactiferous ducts glands not emptied completely, lack of information services provided regarding care. Based on 2017 Indonesian Demographic Health Survey (IDHS) data, it was stated there were 77,231 postpartum mothers who experienced breastfeeding (37.12%) mothers. The purpose this study determine relationship between care incidence in at Pratama Nining Pelawati Clinic, Kec. Lubuk Pakam Kab. Deli Serdang 2022. Research Methods type research used descriptive analytical using Cross Sectional method, method collecting data same time. population found 41 sample questionnaire collected by 37 purposive technique. Data analysis Chi-Square test. results respondents, most whom had poor 26 people (70.3%) mothers, majority 24 (64.9%). There obtained p-value 0.003 <0.05. Postpartum already know about care, hoped will be more diligent carrying out giving birth add insight knowledge prevent damming.
